This organisation is the largest high profile specialist contractor with current works in excess of $2 billion in the mechanical, structural, electrical and minerals processing markets. They have experienced significant growth throughout Australia and within the construction industry in Central Queensland and are looking to secure long term staffing teams to service current and upcoming project requirements.

As an organisation they are involved in Coal Handling Marine Facilities, Plant Expansions and Heavy Industrial structural mechanical construction contracts throughout Queensland and have a solid reputation for winning the industries most sought after projects. They are in a phase of rapid growth, winning some of the most prolific projects.

Currently they are seeking a Bid Manager to report to the regional manager and secure prospects for tender in the structural, mechanical and electrical construction markets.

Within this role you will be leading an engineering and construction team planning, budgeting for and managing the bid preparation process.

Your responsibilities include:

Identifying tender opportunities and the submission of tenders
Securing and managing a specialist tender team
Reviewing and converting prospects into contracts
Managing estimate preparation and tender submission
Training and monitoring estimating and bid teams
Company representation with the client
Controlling the bid from concept to submission

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Bid Manager involved in heavy industrial projects such as materials handling, plant upgrades, oil and gas and minerals processing. You should also have prior experience across all levels of responsibility inclusive of identifying tender opportunities, controlling a bid from concept to submission and prior experience managing tender and estimate preparation.

This is a senior role and a suitable remuneration and relocation assistance packages will be offered for the successful applicant.
