This Commercial Contractor is one of Australia leading construction groups specialising building, civil engineering and infrastructure development. Their building division in QLD has consistently strengthened its position and has recently completed some of the state’s world class institutional projects for both the government and corporate sectors. Ongoing market demand for their building expertise has been a result of effective delivery methods and a commitment to excellence.

As an organisation they core values are accountability, integrity and teamwork. They expect their staff to work cooperatively and collaboratively with both external and internal interfaces in the business.

They are about to commence the design and construct contract for an $100 million dollar expansion to a government hospital building and they currently require an experienced Services Manager to co-ordinate the design and construction for all the major mechanical, electrical, communications, data, fire and hydraulics services.

The role will have a dual function managing consultants with design development as well as overseeing the contractors on-site and approving variations and claims.

Your responsibilities will be:

Co-ordinating the services design phase for the project
Managing sub-contract agreements and financial objectives
Overseeing site services staff in construction phases
End to end involvement from design through to procurement, construction and handover.

Suitable candidates will be degree qualified with a bachelor in mechanical/electrical engineering from either a facilities management background or contracting background on large commercial projects. Experience in hospitals or healthcare commercial construction is an advantage.

This is a unique opportunity for you to be involved from the initial conceptual design stages of the project through to the services installation and final handover on a $100 million dollar project working for Australias preferred Commercial contractor.
