The first stages of this mega infrastructure project have begun on the northside of Brisbane. This is a very challenging project that is scheduled for 4.5 years. It will incorporate almost every element of civil construction.

 

This is a sensational opportunity for an experienced Commercial or Contracts Manager to step up to the mark with a large construction team in a corporate level position. Your role will be to maximize financial returns across different sections of the project. You will also be involved in resource planning, procurement and contracts management. Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist Project Managers in subcontractor and consultant management
  • Manage head contract variations and scope changes
  • Develop cost controls for projects and reporting requirements
  • Assist Cost Planners finalise cost estimates and budgets
  • Account finalisation of head contract and subcontracts

It is envisaged that the successful Commercial Manager will posses  tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or quantity surveying. You will have a solid work history with demonstrable experience undertaking a similar role on major infrastructure projects.
