One Australia’s largest Engineering and construction giants has a list of projects ready to start this year that incorporate a range of commercial construction and is the result of the QLD government’s infrastructure plan, including major medical facilities and cutting-edge institutional upgrades and technology precincts. They have also forged strong relationships with corporate heavy-weights and will be completing large $500M+ projects in unique Joint-Venture relationships within their capital management division.

The role will report in to the Operations Manager and provide commercial, contractual, and financial management services on projects as well as the QLD business, and ensure both profit objectives are met and the appropriate measures in the management of risk are adopted. Overseeing a team of Contract Administrators the role will require a mentoring approach and enable the successful Commercial manager to influence procedures and group objectives.

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial/contractual management background in the construction industry, moving up from a Contract Administrator and gaining valuable experience on large projects in an institutional/regulated environment which comes from working on government projects.

This major contractor has 3 years worth of work in hand already in NQ, and turn-over for 2009, already signed up in contracts. This is the ideal opportunity to secure you future.
