The client specialise in poviding customers with a complete range of end-to-end services in the design, manufacture, service and repair of a broad variety of cooling products.

As the Design and Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the research and development of the client's products and evolving them to meet customer demands and expectations. It is integral that you have a good understanding of how markets and competitors work so you can continuously improve the products and promote growth through accurate design.

It will be your responsibility to deliver regional sales, profit and operational targets. Your abilities will include working from customer drawings, company drawings, vendor drawings or specifications. This role has a strong customer focus and will require the skill of someone with proven business acumen and an thorough understanding of modern business systems.

The role is based in Perth and will involve some travel throughout Australia.

Key requirements and selection criteria are:

Associates degree in drafting design or equivalent experience

Degree qualified mechanical engineering

5 years 2D AutoCad drafting experience

Knowledge of the mining industry and key equipment manufacturers

3-5 years engineering experience with heat exchangers

3-5 years experience within a metal fabrication or heavy automotive industry

Problem solving skills within an engineering environment

Leadership/ management skills

Must have license
