A role has been created for an experienced drilling engineer to join it’s Brisbane based office. You will be responsible for providing drilling engineering input on conceptual, feasibility and design studies for new UCG Generator development along with engineering, planning and permitting aspects of all UCG drilling activities (drilling, testing, completions, workovers and intervention) You will be able to design directional well paths, select directional drilling equipment and ensure successful completion of directional wells in accordance with approved design. Also you will ensure well sites are drilled, completed and maintained in a safe, innovative, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner.

 Experience necessary will include:-

  • Drawing up drilling programs – selection of rigs, parts, casing etc
  • Experience managing and supervising drill rig operations
  • Demonstrated Operational experience using directional drilling technology
  • Demonstrated research & report writing experience desirable
  • Relevant international drilling experience would be desirable

You will be degree qualified in either Mechanical, or Petroleum engineering and have at least 3-5 years oil/gas experience. Your “Hands-on” attitude to field work, a willingness to carry out programs on the ground and an aggressive approach to taking ownership to get the job done will put you ahead of the rest.
