This electrical organisation offers design and construct contracts for some of the most profilic infrastructure and commercial projects around Brisbane. They have their own in-house design and estimating team who are interlinked and work closely to offer their clients economically cost effective electrical packages.

Currently they have a requirement for an Electrical Design Engineer from an electrical trade background to work in their Brisbane office. You will be working with a team of 5 engineers and design drafters.

As electrical designer your responsibilities will include:

Documenting specifications for projects
Electrical design and drafting for commercial and infrastructure projects
Marking up and amending drawings
Concept designing and distribution to clientele

Within this role you will be expected to be able to operate after receiving sketches from the client and prepare the detailed electrical design for the projects. Your first large scale project will be a major industrial plant facility for one of their key major clients.

The ideal applicant will be a trade qualified Electrician with 1-2 years drafting experience working for the Electrical Contractor. You should have experience in design for process controls, power, cabling and industrial projects. Experience in the electrical design of a plant facility or a degree in electrical engineering are both essential prerequisites for this role.
