Electrical Design Engineer: Utilities Design
Newcastle, NSW
HV Distributions and substations Design 11kv- 132kv

This recognized organisation in power has been involved in the design and project management for substations, power reticulation, communications and overhead and underground power projects throughout Australia. They have full IMS accreditation and are a national specialist provider in high voltage electrical infrastructure.

Currently they have a requirement for an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in level one contestable design.

As Senior Electrical Engineer within this role you will be responsible for

Advice on project concept and development through detailed design
Producing detailed design for extensions to utilities for energy providers
Preparing proposal documents on behalf of clients
Signing off on detailed designs

Within this role you will be working within a design team, reporting into your Senior Electrical Engineer. You will have 2 junior engineers and a drafter reporting to you. You should have experience working for a consultancy providing design work for energy organisations or have direct experience working on transmission and distribution design up to 132kv. It is essential that you hold a bachelor of electrical engineering and at least 2 years experience working in the same industry. Furthermore your attention to detail and ability to mentor junior developing engineers will be integral to your success in this position.
