This organisation has a national electrical distribution worth over $3 billion dollars and is involved in bulk supply substation, zone substation and distribution substation projects throughout Australia. They have a five year program of works scheduled based out of Brisbane. With their flexibility they also have the capacity to offer 9 day fortnights or your average 10 day working week. Flexibility is part of their profile.

Currently they have a requirement for a Substation Standards Engineer. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and delivery of policies and standards of electricity network assets (transmission, sub-transimission, distribution, secondary systems and SCADA) focusing on substations.

You will be responsible for the following duties:

Producing the technical requirements for evaluation of tenders
Providing advice regarding the design, construction and performance of electricity networks
Developing reviews and technical support for overhead design, underground design and protection control systems in substations

The ideal applicant will be a degree qualified electrical engineer with experience in electricity distribution and transmission systems. You will also have prior experience in the planning, design and construction for the operation of electricity distribution and transmission systems.
