Due to some internal movements and in one case a promotion, they have a need to appoint some hands on facilities managers. You will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for the completion of hotel special and capital projects and the maintenance of hotel programs. You will ensure the business is compliant with all statutory regulations and fire codes by completing internal audits and you will undertake all relevant tests and inspections on plant equipment and ensure it is all compliant with statutory authorities and the hotel fulfils all requirements. The position also involves staff management and leadership and you will identify any training needs for the hotel maintenance team and ensure development plans are clearly in place.

To apply we are looking for talented people with the following skills and experience:

Trade/Technical background - Electrical Engineer highly regarded
Facilities management experience OR experience as a maintenance supervisor ready to take the next step
Industry experience within Hotels/Hospitality essential
Superb customer service and relationship building abilities
Proven staff management and strong team leadership skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Problem solving abilities and results orientated
Familiar with implementing sustainability initiatives
