This role reports to the Senior Geologist and will see you monitor grade control for our clients operation as they move from an open pit to an underground environment.

The role:

·Manage grade control responsibilities, including leading and being accountable for ore mark-ups

·Be accountable for daily ore blending and ore tracking

·Liaise and communicate with Production Supervisors and operations personnel to ensure targets are met

·Work with Planning Engineers to optimise mining plans

·Review the progress of Field Technicians' blast hole sampling and sample submission

·Ensure ROM stockpiles are maintained in an acceptable working order.

The successful candidate will possess:

· A strong commitment to safety and the ability to encourage a safe work environment

· A degree qualification in Geology;

· Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

· Proficiency with Vulcan mine-planning software

· Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

· Excellent communication and liaison skills

The roster is 8 days on/ 6 days off roster FIFO available from Brisbane or Townsville or alternatively residentially based.
