Our client is a leader in design and construction of mineral processing / materials handling projects both nationally and internationally. The company's current growth phase due to securing a number of projects has created a demand for an extensively experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Brisbane office.

The role will be reporting to the Design Manager and involve competently working independently, supervising and managing several design drafting teams. Key accountabilities include; budget and schedule preparation, professional development, resource allocation and planning.

In order to be sucessful in this role you will have;

Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equal
15 years + post graduating in mineral processing and related industries
Ability to manage effectively the interaction with clients on design and drafting issues
Consistently provide high standard engineering designs and solutions within agreed milestone dates
Experience working with EPCM that specialise in minerals processing would be advantageous
