Our client is heavily involved in the design and construction of large materials handling systems such as conveyors, shiploaders, stackers and reclaimers and processing plants for the mining industry. Growth within the business has seen an opening for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Mackay.

The role of a Mechanical Engineer will see you performing the mechanical and structural design section for specifc projects, ensuring designs are in accordance with project input requirements, company objectives and executed in a timely and cost effective manner.

To be considered for this role you will:

Be a Chartered Professional Engineer
5+ years mechanical design experience
Competency in 2D and 3D CAD Systems
Efficient time management skills
Have local industry experience
Exceptional computer skills
Extensive knowledge of design / drafting, reading engineering drawings
Experience with conveyors, materials handling, structural steel, machine design
Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes
