Upgrade to existing coal mine
Project is located in North QLD

This top tier multi-disciplined contractor is engaged to install the mechanical packages on this large scale upgrade of an existing coal mine in North Queensland. Across their business they have up to $2 B worth of work on: mine upgrades, civil infrastructure, water treatment facilities, building construction and LNG work.

This existing CHPP is being upgraded to boost the daily production. While liaising with the client you will also work closely with other on-site contractors ensuring that Safety, QA and Environmental standards are kept to a first class level.This is green and brown field site with upgrades and new facilities being built. Work will include: conveyors, crushers, screeners and transfer stations.

While reporting to the Project Manager your duties will include:

Project Engineering, following up on site progress and documentation
Project Quality Assurance
Liaising with client for detailed design requirements
Safety compliance

The upgrade contract is worth $150 M and will take over 12 months to complete, this is a fulltime position, with plenty of work across the entire business once the project is complete there will be plenty of options for different projects in different locations.Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering are required along with a proven track record on similar projects.
