This global organisation is currently providing major shutdown management for mining and process plant in Central Queensland. Their Mackay office is focused on engineering, projects and maintenance in the coal industry. They also provide asset maintenance of mining and process plants and mobile maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Currently they have a requirement for a Mechanical Shutdown Planner to work in their Mackay branch on shutdown projects through from conceptual stages to project completion.

Within this role you will be responsible for

Developing detailed work scopes and estimates
Shutdown planning, implementation and review
Statutory and Contractual Review
Planning and executing major and minor projects
Managing the head contractors

You will report to the Head Planner and Alliance Manager in this role. The ideal applicant will have prior experience planning and executing shutdowns and will have the following skills:

Experience in planning, scheduling utlising MS Project
Experience in maintenance and shutdown mining projects
Ability to manage costs, risk and contractural obligations
Electrical Engineering or Trade Qualifications
