Mechanical Superintendent

This global organisation is currently providing major shutdown management for mining and process plant in Central Queensland. Their Mackay office is focused on engineering, projects and maintenance in the coal industry. They also provide asset maintenance of mining and process plants and mobile maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Currently they have a requirement for a Mechanical Shutdown Superintendent. In this role you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on shutdowns, undergoing risk assessments, safety audits and conducting start-up meetings. You will also be responsible for managing the shutdown team on a daily basis and co-ordinating daily work schedules.

The ideal applicant will have qualifications in a trade or tertiary engineering qualifications and supervisory experience for teams above 30 members. You should also have a knowledge of shutdown safety, managing expenditure and KPI’s in line with contractual obligations. We are also seeking someone with a proven ability in creating a culture of quality and increased productivity in your previous roles of employment.
