This Government owned statutory authority is responsible for $4B of QLD's vital infrastructure projects which are currently being delivered by various major engineering alliances.
There is currently an immediate need for an experienced Process Engineer-Water to lead ongoing systems, processes and operations analyses targeting the optimisation of plant processes. Examples of challenges could range from corrosion inhibition, tank liner selections, pump cavitations, chemical and energy usage and membrane replacement strategies.
Suitable candidates will have demonstrated experience in the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years in mechanical and/or chemical engineering in a complex operating environment
- Water/Wastewater Treatment Process industry experience
- Knowledge and experience of networks, pumps, and piped systems including skills in fluid modelling
- Knowledge of industrial water/wastewater treatment processes, experience with membrane systems an advantage
- Experience with Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PID)
- Trouble shooting, problem solving and optimisation skills/techniques as evidenced through a proven track record of process improvement
