We are currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist to join a small team located in a coastal Central Queensland location.

Our client is a leading international mining group and this site is located adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef offering an excellent lifestyle opportunity.

This role reports to the Project Controls Specialist and will see you as part of a small team also supports the commissioning team. In this role you will be responsible for:

Creating and maintaining progress reports
Create operational readiness plans and schedules using Gantt charts
Maintain alignment of all schedules with the overall project construction schedule
Be highly competent in the use of MS Project

To be considered for this role you must posess:

Clear and effective communication skills
Proven experience in scheduling and project controls
Have a real passion for scheduling workflow and enjoy the challenges it can present
Experience in a heavy industrial environment will be highly regarded
