Specialise in heavy works - Bridges / Wharves / Jetties

This civil contractor specialises in marine piling, jetty and bridge related projects. Locally they are involved in Brisbane’s most iconic structural projects as well as wharf upgrades and extensions. Interstate they have existing relationships with contractors who lack the capabilities and plant needed.

Projects can range anywhere from $10M to $200M, while involving reinforced concrete and structural steel, their projects have a refreshing range which will allow you exposure to: road & rail bridges (on land and water), piling rigs / barge cranes and foundations. While the projects are exciting equally appealing is the variety in terms of location and clients you will have to adapt to the local market and maintain positive relationships.

While reporting to the Directors and supervising Foremen and Engineers your role will include:

Planning & programming
Monitoring costs against budget
Managing engineers & site staff
Environment and Safety
Liaising with clients, councils & associated bodies

Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering will be required along with a proven track record of onsite coordinating of construction / engineering preferably with road or rail experience. Another quality that will be considered favourable is some exposure to design with mainly contracting experience.
