Two civil contractors have joined forces to deliver an 8km motorway upgrade on the western side of Brisbane. The state and federal governments have pumped funds into this section which is valued at more than $1.4B and will take 3 years to complete. You will be employed by the smaller of the two companies who has successfully operated in the industry for over 20 years developing first class staff, award winning training systems, benefits and incentive programs.

The project is a mix of green and brownfield sites and includes: pilling works, bridges – associated structures, culvets, ramp extensions, drainage and stormwater all to Main Roads specifications. There are 14 road and 3 pedestrian bridges – none of them being long span.

You will Co ordinate with Foremen ensuring the smooth successful pours, maintaining a positive relationship between site staff, contractors and concrete suppliers. You will report to the Project Manager and be responsible for the structural elements including:

• Quality assurance

• Matching design with construction

• Project safety

• Preparing stat reports

Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering will be required along with a proven track record of onsite coordinating of construction / engineering preferably with road or rail experience.
