This global organisation is currently providing major shutdown maintenance management for mining and process plant in Central Queensland. Their Mackay office is focused on engineering, projects and maintenance in the coal industry. They also provide asset maintenance of mining and process plants and mobile maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Currently they have a requirement for a Health and Safety co-ordinator to provide advice and initiative to the Project Manager and Supervisors for adherence to workplace standards, statutory regulation compliance and improvement in the safety and environmental culture within the organisation.

Reporting to the Senior HSE Coordinator you will be leading the process to identify health safety and environment risks and recommend alternative solutions whilst driving corrective actions and safe processes in the workplace.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience in Shutdown Projects as a Health and Safety Officer. Ideally you will have a behavioural based focus to safety and extensive knowledge of shutdown processes and safety culture in the shutdown process industry operation.
