This organisation is the largest high profile specialist contractor with current works in excess of $2 billion in the mechanical, structural and minerals processing markets. They have experienced steady growth throughout Australia and within the construction industry in Central Queensland and are looking to secure long term staffing teams to service current and upcoming project requirements.

The project is a Coal Terminal Facility in North Queensland with a project value of $200 million. The project will include open water marine work, jetty construction, marine structures, shipping facilities and pile driving with a structural mechanical focus.

There is a requirement for a Safety Manager with prior experience in materials handling, coal handling preparation plants and marine projects would also be desirable. You should have tertiary qualifications to support your role and experience dealing with subcontractors, deliverables and timelines.

Reporting to you will be 2 safety advisors and a safety co-ordinator on this project with a potential staffing team of 200 personnel.

We are seeking a Safety Manager operating with a behavioural approach to systems and prior Safety Management experience on projects over $200 million is essential. Experience on projects of a structural mechanical nature would also be desirable.
