This is a newly created position involving high & low voltage reticulation, switchboard and substation design for greenfield and brownfield projects. The position of Senior Electrical Design Engineer will report directly to the Queensland State Manager. Along with design, you will be involved in commercial decisions and client relationships.

You responsibilities will include:

Detailed electrical design of Transmission Substations, utilities and generation including: single line diagrams, protection relay specifications and SCADA/PLC system specifications
Project management of your designs
Preparation of technical specifications & cost estimates
Supervision of designers
Forming, building and maintaining client relationships

To succeed in this role you will need the following:

A Degree in Civil Engineering, Associate Diploma with relevant experience considered
Proven experience in Power Transmission Designs (secondary protection systems)
Excellent design and project management skills
Highly advanced communication and negotiation skills
Tender, estimation and investigation skills
Great organisation and time management skills
