This consultancy provides specialist electrical engineering services from the initial design phase through to construction commissioning projects. They operate in the industrial, power systems and mining industries and are heavily involved in high voltage specialist power system design projects in Mackay and the Bowen Basin region.

Currently we have a requirement for a Senior Electrical Engineer.

Within this role you will have the following accountabilities:

Supervising and mentoring a team of technical specialist electrical engineers
Detailed design for mining, industrial and power projects
Managing and producing reports on projects
Reviewing work completed by engineers and tracking projects

The successful applicant will have a strong background in materials handling/mining projects (5+ years) and will hold a bachelors degree in electrical engineering. You should also have the experience in power systems design to successfully lead a team of technical specialists in high voltage design. You should be able to promote a friendly company culture, have effective interpersonal skills and a keen desire to mentor junior engineers.
