Lead a team of HV Power System Specialist Engineers
$130,000- $150,000 package

Work a 9 day fortnight in family friendly Gladstone. Beautiful coastal beaches, great fishing, booming industry location. Working hours 7:30am to 5:00pm. No early morning traffic. Close knit team. Stable Permanent Employment. Relocation Assistance Provided.

This consultancy provides specialist electrical engineering services from the initial design phase through to construction commissioning projects. They operate in the industrial, power systems and mining industries and are heavily involved in high voltage specialist power system design projects in their Gladstone office.

Currently we have a requirement for a Lead Electrical Engineer to supervise a team of 4-5 technical specialists in high voltage power systems design. Your team will be geographically diverse with 3 engineers in Gladstone, 1 in China and 1 in Sydney.

Within this role you will have the following accountabilities:

Supervising and mentoring a team of technical specialist electrical engineers
Protection system, power systems high voltage and fault level design
Feasibility studies and detailed design for mining, industrial and power projects
Business development and growth in power authority industries

The ideal candidate will hold RPEQ accreditation and a degree in electrical engineering. You should also have the experience in power systems design to successfully lead a team of technical specialists in high voltage design. The successful candidate will need to come from an electrical engineering consultancy background with a well developed knowledge of commercial acumen.
