Our client is one of Australia’s most experienced energy and water consultants providing consulting services covering the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of all kinds of major energy and water projects. The company has been established for almost 100 years and has teams operating across the Asia Pacific region. Expanding business has created a demand for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Primary Electrical Design.

The role will require you to provide high level engineering design skills associated with the installation of new EHV and HV equipment and the modification of existing equipment. You will be working on initial construction and installation, enhancement or refurbishment in a project or job management capacity.

You Must:

Be a qualified Electrical Engineer (MIEA)
6+ years experience in design of HV and EHV installations and plant
Experience with substations and transmission line design
Previous experience in protection, control, metering and SCADA systems
Estimating and quoting experience as applied in the electrical designs consulting environment
Extensive experience working in design teams in a consulting environment
Experience with primary substation design
Effective negotiation skills
Have local industry experience
Awareness of engineering codes of practise, standards and guidelines.
General knowledge of project management and techniques for development planning and project analysis
