This organisation has a national electrical distribution worth over $3 billion dollars and is involved in bulk supply substation, zone substation and distribution substation projects throughout Australia. They have a five year program of works scheduled based out of Brisbane. With their flexibility they also have the capacity to offer 9 day fortnights or your average 10 day working week. Flexibility is part of their profile.

Currently they have a requirement for a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer.

They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to manage the planning team and prioritise and plan projects for the transmission, sub-transmission and distribution networks. You will be reporting to your Transmission Planning Manager and will be supervising a team of Transmission Planning Engineers.

Within this role you will have the following responsibilities

Managing the production of team for project specific planning studies
Manage the production of cost effective planning reports
Developing detailed project scopes
Following work practices to promote safety and comply with legislation
Regular review and recommendations for updating planning principles
Assisting in formulating network asset management plans and network development plans

To be successful in this role you should have demonstrated experience in the design and construction of electricity distribution and transmission systems and in depth knowledge of the planning and operation of transmission networks. You should also have degree qualifications in electrical engineer and eligibility as a member of the institute of engineers Australia. Commitment to improvements in safety and environmental performance as well as quality compliance is essential.
