This boutique design firm based in the Brisbane CBD offers minerals processing solutions to a broad spectrum of clients and operational environments here in Australia and internationally. Following removal from the mine often a complex system of conveyors and machinery are required to transport the raw mineral to the final processing location. This firm offers its clients a wide range of equipment from conveyor solutions to crushing, sizing and sorting machinery to handle this problem.

The successful candidate will have experience in the design of coal handling and processing plants. This experience ideally developed in an EPCM firm will include design of conveyor systems for the handling of coal or minerals from another industry. The role requires the individual to complete design calculations, estimates and schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

As a Senior Engineer you will hold Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEAQ) accreditation or will have the experience to qualify for this title. Due to the seniority of this role you will ideally have experience in checking and approving designs to ensure they meet industry and the client’s specifications. This role involves some travel to site to ensure the construction process is following the outlined design and to work closely with the construction manager to modify designs to rectify any design issues or changes that may be required.

The nature of this design office would suit a flexible individual who is willing to work in a cooperative team environment. To succeed in this role you will be required to manage multiple designs occurring concurrently. This opportunity allows the engineer to follow the design from concept stages through to manufacture and installation of the components.
