As the Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the design of bulk materials handling systems for the transport of ROM coal to the plant and then following processing to the transportation system. Your input will be required from the conceptual design stage through to testing and development with a portion of work involved in the commissioning of the equipment on site. This role will include some travel and site work to ensure delivery and installation of the equipment meets the design and client specifications.

Role:

Responsible for leading and management of a team of design engineers
Prepare estimates and schedules for design process
Check and approve designs against company and industry standards
Manage budgets
Proposal and tender input
Design calculations
Client management and contact
Site supervision for installation

Requirements:

Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation or will have the experience to qualify for this title
Degree Qualified Mechanical Engineer
Materials Handling Experience – 5 years +

Desirable:

Conveyor Design
Coal Handling experience
Mechanical engineering design supervision
Mechanical design leadership experience
EPCM experience
