This professional engineering consultancy is steadily growing and building a solid reputation for delivering practical and efficient solutions to clients. With a variety of projects on from large scale commercial/ industrial projects to smaller design projects, they are full steam ahead for 2011 and carrying on a track record of success.

Due to continual growth, this consultancy is seeking a Senior Design Engineer with a Mechanical background to continue the excellent environment that currently exists. You will be exposed to a wide range of heavy industry and manufacturing projects and will be responsible for the delivery of outstanding design solutions.

Your role will encompass:

The design of various mechanical equipment to successfully deliver projects on time, on budget and within scope, and according to Australian Standards
Working autonomously and being a mentor to junior engineers and graduates
Provide expert technical advice in Mechanical Engineering for both internal and external clients
Establish and maintain positive client relationships with a high level of professionalism to achieve long term loyalty.

To be successful, you will require:

Mechanical Engineering Degree qualifications
Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering design
CPEng and RPEQ qualified
Advanced mechanical design skills
Desire to mentor junior staff
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships
Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
