One of Australias largest and most prominent contractors in the civil, infrastructure and heavy industrial industries is continuing to grow their business at a rapid rate Nationally. Their stable work environment can be attributed to their regular influx of government funded projects across transport, power generation and rail divisions. Your future is looking prosperous with this industry leader.

Currently they are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator for their Sydney branch to work on tendering for multi-million dollar construction projects.

Reporting to the Estimating manager, you will have the following core responsibilities:

  • Preparation of tender submissions and pre-qualifications
  • Producing electrical estimates for construction projects
  • Successful tender closing and negotiations
  • Effective client supplier liaison 

You should have prior experience as an electrical estimator working on mining, civil, tunneling, transport infrastructure or mining projects. You should also have a proven ability to produce estimates utilizing first principles methodology. The ideal applicant will have project experience as an estimating producing estimate costs for variations and forecasting costs to complete the projects. We are seeking someone with a Mechanical background through trade or tertiary qualifications for this role.
