Our client is a leading Government owned organisation that truly require no introduction. Due to the ongoing demand of major projects they have a role available for a Senior Procurement Advisor.

You will be responsible for providing expert procurement advice and support to business groups and to increase efficiency across all procurement related activities. You will ensure the QLD Government's purchasing policy guidelines are met and ensuring deadlines are achieved and risks and issues are minimised. You will support the Procurement Manager in the development and negotiation of commercial agreements and monitor suppliers to ensure their performance is in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.

Essential skills and experience required:

Experience in a similar role as a procurement advisor
Ideally experience in working for a Government entity with proven understanding of the QLD Government purchasing policy and guidelines
Well developed ability to provide quality end-to-end project procurement advice including preparation of tender documentation, procurement contracts and the management of contracts through to completion
Proven experience in building effective relationships with key stakeholders/customers
Proven knowledge of strategic procurement processes with the ability to undertake high risk project procurement and contract administration, particularly in relation to commodities or infrastructure
High level of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
