The client is an Australian-based nickel mine, they are a growing company listed on the ASX and located outside of Perth. Due to expansion and growth within the company they are seeking an Underground Production Engineer.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer you will be an essential part of the mining team and play an integral role in ensuring that targets are achieved as safely and efficiently as possible. Working on a an 8/6 FIFO Perth roster you will be responsible for production drill and blast design and coordination of drill and blast activities. Your role will entail ventilation, engineering, short term production and development scheduling, quality control of all mining activities, analysis of mining physicals to identify opportunities for improvement and other duties as required.

To be considered for this role you will have:

Mining Engineering Degree
Completed least 1 year of Under Ground time
Experience as a production engineer in Under Ground hard rock mining
High level of communication and time management skills
A strong safety first focus
Underground supervisory experience highly regarded
