Contract Administrator – Privately Owned Tier 2 Sub Contractor, based in central Brisbane.This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Brisbane’s best privately owned Painting, Rendering, Ceilings, Partitions and Carpentry Sub Contractors.This role will be a key addition to the team to help drive the exciting growth strategy for the business.As the Contract Administrator you will be responsible the commercial outcomes on all projects across the business.  Dealing with a mixture well known construction companies across the state, working on Commercial projects, Medium Rise Residential projects and individual homes.Your main areas of responsibility will be;Reviewing and providing SWMS, registries, warranties & SMP to the company’s clients as needed for each project.Completing all monthly progress claims and assessing return schedules.Managing project variations & ensuring all documentation and correspondence between the company and client is completed, as necessary.Administering subcontract agreements to the company’s sub-contractors and manage invoices and payments schedules.Administering principal contractor agreements and manage Delay, EoT, Program, LD’s, payment terms, retentions & practical completion.Developing solutions for work delays and other problems that may rise on the company’s projects with the Operations Manager.Reviewing all project contracts and advise the Managing Director (MD) & General Manager (GM) on key items.Completing contract scope of works alongside the Estimators and advise MD & GM on key items.Ensuring correct document registers are recorded in the contracts alongside the Estimators.Manage the workforce planning of the company’s projects with the Operations Manager.Reporting key results, tender agreements and the pricing of business endeavours between the company’s principal contractors to the GM & MD.Liaising with the company’s projects principal contractors to facilitate an efficient schedule of work.Ensuring that projects meet all building and safety codes.Ensuring the existence and importance of time bar timeframes.Negotiating liquidated damages with the clients in line with the company requirements.Assisting the estimating team with tender agreements and providing expertise as to pricing.Remaining well-versed and up to date on the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payments) Act and the subsequent requirements for both subcontractors and head-contractors specifically.This role will suit a Contract Administrator from a similar sized subcontract business ($10m) with a proven track record producing mutually beneficial commercial outcomes for all involved in the building process.    Experience in a Painting or Ceilings and Partitions subcontractor will be highly desirable.For a confidential conversation email david@contec.net.au Australia - QLD Brisbane CBD & Inner Suburbs
